Young climate leaders across Africa are being encouraged to seize a unique opportunity to participate in the Second Africa Climate Summit (ACS2), taking place from 8th–10th September 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The event will be hosted by the Government of Ethiopia in partnership with the African Union Commission (AUC).
The summit is set to bring together policymakers, activists, innovators, and youth leaders from across the continent to accelerate action on climate change. For many young people, it will be a platform not only to share their ideas and concerns but also to influence policy and shape the future of Africa’s response to the climate crisis.
Free Visa and Discounted Flight Tickets
In an exciting development, the Government of Ethiopia has waived the $52 visa fee for all registered attendees. Participants will no longer need to go through the e-visa process; instead, they can present their registration acknowledgment letter and obtain a visa on arrival at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa.
To further ease travel, Ethiopian Airlines is offering discounted flights for participants using the event code MPD25. This makes the summit more accessible to young leaders from across the continent, ensuring broad participation.
