Young climate innovators around the world now have an opportunity to transform their ideas into impactful solutions as the Youth4Climate Call for Solutions 2026 officially opens for applications.
The global initiative is inviting youth-led climate projects and innovative ideas that address some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time. Selected applicants can receive up to $30,000 in funding, along with mentorship, technical support, and international visibility to help scale their climate solutions.
The Call for Solutions seeks to empower young leaders who are developing practical and scalable approaches to climate action. By supporting youth-driven innovation, the programme aims to accelerate community-led solutions that contribute to sustainable development and climate resilience.
Priority Thematic Areas
For the 2026 edition, Youth4Climate is seeking proposals from young innovators working across six key thematic areas:
- Sustainable Energy
Solutions that accelerate clean and renewable energy access, improve energy efficiency, and support innovative technologies that reduce emissions. - Food and Agriculture
Initiatives that promote climate-smart agriculture, strengthen food systems, and support sustainable production and consumption. - Climate, Peace and Security
Projects that strengthen peace-positive climate mitigation and adaptation while addressing the intersection between climate risks, conflict, and community stability. - Oceans and Blue Economy
Solutions that protect marine ecosystems, reduce ocean pollution, and advance inclusive, low-emission, and climate-resilient blue economies. - Architecture for Adaptation
Innovations in design, construction, materials, and spatial planning that integrate nature-based solutions and circular economy principles to enhance climate resilience. - Sustainable Fashion and Textiles
Creative approaches that transform consumption and production systems in the fashion industry by reducing emissions, waste, and pollution while promoting fair labour practices, transparency, and cultural expression.
